Division A week 26 and Division B week 23 summary and highlights

Relyon spring back to top of Division A

Division A 

Relyon have “Sprung” back to the top after completing a 22 pin win over upstairs neighbours the Queens Legs. Last week both Cottage Inn teams won this week they both lost, last week’s leaders the Cottage Pies lost to Angels by 26 pins so they slip to second and Angels move up to joint fourth. Muscotts the other Cottage Inn team lost by 16 to Holywell Lake and remain fourth while the Lake are joint sixth. Third placed Reservists kept it very tight at the top in this 3 horse race by beating last year’s champions Home Guard 2 by only 4 the closest match of the night, 61 was the biggest winning margin achieved by Fireguard A away to Report Centre A. Shooters and Wardens the other joint sixth teams both had wins at home. Upstairs at the Victoria Arms Wardens had a 9 pin win over Bell Green meanwhile downstairs Shooters had a 21 pin win over Hot Shots. Club Rockers had a rare away win just their third this season they beat Rebels by 16, O.B.A. travelled to the Blue Ball and came away with all 3 points as they beat Oaks by 35.

This Friday sees Relyon away to Holywell Lake, Cottage Pies at home to in form Shooters and Reservists at home to Oaks.

Division B 

Mowers after 2 wins in 2 days are now 8 points clear at the top but have played one game more than the next 5 teams. Last Wednesday they played their back match which saw them beat Soccerites by 47 then a day later they played United Services beating them by 22. King Pins are still second but third placed team Scuppas have halved their lead over them following Scuppas 49 pin win over them. All Stars are fourth after a 1 pin win over the Rugby Boys there was another 1 pin win this time by Soccerites over Stragglers. Ex-Servicemen had the biggest win at the expense of bottom team Home Guard 4 winning by 61. Odds and Ends edged it by 6 pins over Moonrakers and Railwayites also won a close match beating Foresters by 7.  

This Thursday leaders Mowers have a bye, second placed King Pins are at home to Ex-Servicemen and third placed Scuppas play Foresters.
